About Roberto De Jesus Lopez

Roberto received his Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Florida State University (FSU) in 2016. From there, he came back home to Miami to receive his Juris Doctorate from Florida International University’s College of Law (FIU Law) in 2019. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in December, 2022. Roberto was also admitted to the D.C. Bar in May, 2024.

While in law school, Roberto interned under the Honorable Judge Migna Sanchez-Llorens where he assisted in the drafting of bench briefs, legal research, and the drafting of orders. This internship allowed him to gain a keen eye for what Judges expect from trial attorneys. Roberto also volunteered for the ACLU. Roberto was invited to join the FIU LAW REVIEW where he became one of their Editors. As an Editor, Roberto directly managed a team of his colleagues to ensure published articles were properly edited, cited, and ready for publication.

Roberto is an Associate Attorney specializing in insurance litigation. With experience in both Plaintiff and Defense insurance litigation, Roberto is in a unique position to advocate for clients’ rights and deliver results through skilled legal representation. Roberto has handled personal injury cases across the entire state of Florida, ensuring he can represent a client’s needs no matter the jurisdiction or situation.

As an attorney, Roberto emphasizes communication and ensuring his client understands how the legal process works. Roberto’s goal is to ensure his clients can focus as much as they need to on their treatment and personal life with the confidence and reassurance that the legal process is being taken care of.

Born and raised in Miami, FL, Roberto is an avid Florida State Seminoles fan and has no comment on their rival schools. During his free time, Roberto enjoys diving in the Florida Keys, reading manga, and attending conventions.
